Still sleeping
A selection of portraits.
In the last few years I’ve spent time studying life models, other works of art and sculpture to fine tune an appreciation of technique, tone and expression for portraiture. Not a game for the faint of heart.
Fortunately depicting a likeness is not really the objective of life drawing. These quick drawings often focus on the form and movement of the figure but occasionally the model has a certain presence where the face has its own strength or intensity worth capturing.

Thanks so much Henry and so nice of you to visit the pages which are usually a quiet place – like the naves of a church where the real works of art are hung (perhaps…)
