Far from the urban crowd this weekend in the company of lovely farming friends and their newly shorn suffolks & sheepdogs. Good company, open fires and great food – a wondrous start to winter.
Thanks Mae – totally beautiful. There is a forested area a short walk from the farm and I would like to go and take some photos there sometime – but I went for a totally tech free walk with the dog there – no phone or camera – very therapeutic.
I always have great plans to get out & paint! But I’ve been painting in a studio for ages so it’s a whole other thing to tackle. Maybe when it warns up a little…
Hi Andrew – we can’t complain too much about winter here. It has its cold blasts and squalls but then the sun usually pops out again. Melbourne is one of those places where – just as you think you’re too cold you’re suddenly too warm.
I love taking trips out to the country. This this beautiful!

Beautiful countryside – and the sheep make it so pastoral, was anyone tempted to start a landscape painting?

Looks idyllic but I shudder at the idea of winter.
