Blood, Oranges and Café anatomy.

Another clever friend (by proxy of ma belle fille au summet de l’image) offered this entry to the Melbourne San Pellegrino Café Society award recently and won!

The student photographers’ works had to be produced in partnership with a café  of their choosing.

Since cafés and young photographers are the two things which are well supplied in Melbourne – it’s a pretty perfect match (but obviously the beverage marketers had worked that out earlier).

You can see the work of all the clever young photographers’ interpretations of the brief from last year’s comp at the San Pellegrino Facebook site.

The winning café spot here was the Armstrong St Food Store in Middle Park.

You will spot the homage to The Anatomy Lesson by Rembrandt Van Rijn… John Briner has written a bit about this in his Art Pics blog.
