Interiors in Istanbul

Just some glimpses of the interior beauties of Istanbul. The must-dos are here.

The staggering and unexpected vastness of the Hagia Sophia and the madly opulent Sultan Ahmed (Blue) Mosque, then the more intimate rooms of the Topkapı Palace.

But even in the street there are glimpses into spaces which offer less opulent but just as intriguing views of the city – like this small framed garden.

    • Hi Hilary – the coloured glass and all the intricate shapes really did shape the light – you’re so right. Looked like the Ottamans were quite handy at lounging about. Would love to have sat and read in the little window seat – sumptuous.
