Chelsea and the golden Aussies.

Just have to have a little air punch for the Aussie Gardeners winning Best in Show in the Chelsea Flower Show’s Centenary Year in the UK.

Extraordinary effort and exceptional garden. The Waratah shaped studio in Phil Johnson’s Trailfinder’s Garden would have won me over on its own.

The $2million garden was a message on sustainability that Wes Fleming from Fleming’s Nursery has been aiming to profile for years.

I love his comment (which I’m paraphrasing as the actual article evades me) that ‘The future will not be made by economists or lawyers or bankers but by horticulturalists and people who know about plants and sustainability…’

While it’s a bit frustrating not to be able to physically walk through this amazing garden, there are some slideshows and videos + a nice timelapse of the garden being constructed at these links.

  1. And I too am won over by his comment – ‘The future will not be made by economists or lawyers or bankers but by horticulturalists and people who know about plants and sustainability…’
